How do I become a member?
Answer: Members of Unit 611 can sign a membership application and become members of ALADS.
Please contact our office to obtain a membership application. Deputy trainees can obtain an application from
one of our directors the first day of orientation.
What is the difference between a Full Member and a Fee Payer?
Answer: Not yet generated.
Do I have to notify ALADS that I retired?
Answer: No. One month after retirement, we receive a report from the county notifying us of every
deputy that has retired. That will trigger the mailing of a retired member application and ordering of a plaque for
the member which will be mailed to their home.
I've updated my address with the county, however ALADS is still
sending my Dispatcher to my old address. What should I do?
Answer: The county does not share information with ALADS. We are a separate entity, with a separate database. If you have a change in personal information,
please contact our office and complete a 'Change of Address' form to ensure proper delivery.
Why do I have more money taken out of my dues than my fellow deputies??
Answer: If you have supplemental insurance premium deductions, it will all show under ALADS code 424.
